Privacy Policy

This policy explains how personal data is processed when you use www.10files.com, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO).

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Victor Castano (10Files)
Regensburger Straße 25
10777 Berlin
Germany
Email: hi@10files.com

2. Data protection officer

We have not appointed a data protection officer. As a sole proprietor we are not required to do so under Art. 37 GDPR and § 38 BDSG: our core activity does not consist of processing operations that require regular and systematic monitoring of data subjects on a large scale, nor of large-scale processing of special categories of data, and fewer than 20 people are permanently engaged in the automated processing of personal data. You can contact us about any data protection matter at hi@10files.com.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA). When you access the site, your browser automatically transmits data that the hosting infrastructure stores in server log files, including: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring URL, your browser type and version, and your operating system.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). This data is necessary for technical delivery, stability, and security (e.g. defending against attacks) and is not merged with other data sources.

Vercel Inc. is based in the USA and may process data there. The transfer is safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the provider’s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. See the provider’s privacy policy: https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

4. Booking a call (appointment scheduling)

You can book an introductory call through an embedded scheduling widget provided by Google Ireland Limited (Google Calendar Appointment Scheduling). The widget is loaded only after you actively click the “Book a call” button — nothing is sent to the provider until you choose to open it.

When you open the widget and submit a booking, the data you enter (such as your name, email address, and chosen time slot) and technical connection data are processed by the provider in order to schedule the appointment.

  • Loading the widget on your click: your consent, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (and § 25 (1) TDDDG for the access to your device).
  • Processing your booking: performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

The provider may transfer data to the USA; such transfers are safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Provider privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Alternatively, you can simply email us at hi@10files.com without using the widget.

5. Fonts

This website uses self-hosted fonts. The font files are served directly from our own hosting infrastructure and are not loaded from Google Fonts or any other external font service. No connection to a third-party font provider is established and no data is sent to such a provider when you load a page.

6. Cookies and local storage

This website does not use tracking cookies, analytics, or advertising technologies. The only information stored in your browser is a single local-storage entry that remembers your light/dark theme preference. It is strictly necessary to provide the display setting you requested, is stored only on your device, is never transmitted to us, and is not used to identify or track you.

Because we set no non-essential cookies and run no tracking, no cookie consent banner is required. The theme preference relies on § 25 (2) (2) TDDDG (storage strictly necessary to provide a service you explicitly requested) and our legitimate interest, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

7. Encryption (TLS)

For security reasons, this site uses TLS/SSL encryption for all connections. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” prefix and the lock icon in your browser’s address bar.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your personal data (Art. 15);
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16);
  • erasure (Art. 17);
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18);
  • data portability (Art. 20);
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21); and
  • withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hi@10files.com.

9. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority competent for us is:

Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit
Alt-Moabit 59-61
10555 Berlin
Deutschland
